The Vampire Shrink
By Lynda Hilburn
pgs.392

Summary (from the back of the book)

Kismet Knight, PhD, doesn't believe in the paranormal. She especially doesn't believe in vampires, but she begins to wise up when she is introduced to a handsome man named Devereux who claims to be 800 years old. Kismet doesn't buy his vampire story, but she also can't explain why she has such odd reactions and feelings when he is near. Then a client almost completely drained of blood staggers into her waiting room and two angry men force their way into her office, causing her to consider the possibility that she has run afoul of a vampire underworld. Enter FBI profiler Alan Stevens, who warns her that vampires are very real, and one is a murderer—a murderer who is after her.

My Thoughts

I am a huge fan of the paranormal genre, and I am always on the lookout for something new, exciting, and refreshing. That is exactly what I got with The Vampire Shrink by Lynda Hilburn which is the first book in the Kismet Knight, Vampire Psychologist series. The main character Kismet is a very enjoyable character she possesses the unique ability to have an open mind with her clients, but the break the glass ceiling mentality of today’s modern woman. She has never been a believer in the boogeyman and especially not vampires then she meets Devereux a striking, wealthy man claiming to be 800 years old. Kismet’s life is soon turned upside down and it is one action packed make Kismet a believer adventure after another. I would recommend this book to people who enjoy the adult side of paranormal romance, and I am looking forward to reading Dark Harvest the second book in the series.
If anyone else has read this book I would love to hear your thoughts on this book.
